Case Study
Simon Martinelli
Logo Design
Intro
Simon writes and speaks about architecture and software development with Java. He commissioned me with designing a logo for his personal branding and website. Simon owns 72 Services which is another company I designed a logo for.
The Process
I started the project off by filling a page of my A3 sketchbook with ideas and sketches. With Simon’s input, we picked the 3 best personal branding designs. I took those 3 designs and created vector graphics of each. It was clear at this stage which one I preferred and was leaning towards as the final logo design.
Super Hero Branding
Simon’s favourite logo, which he thought suited him best, was the superhero-style logo design. A hand-drawn M inside a circle. This logo looks great on anything! The colours that were used are the same brand colours as his 72 Services business brand. This is so everything matches and feels like they belong together.
Presenting the Design
I always like to showcase my client’s logo design with a range of mockups. This is so I can show their logo in as many different ways as possible. This may also spur the client to need more graphics for business cards, shirts, stickers, etc.
