Logo Design
Intro
Funguy VFX is a small video production company specialising in video and green screen work.
This project came through as a referral from a previous logo design project. Getting a project as a referral always pushes me to be better with each project. Knowing that someone liked my work enough to pass on my details to someone else is the highest compliment.
The Brief
Sophia at Funguy VFX wanted to incorporate a fungi element as a mushroom. But also including something from the green screen. Therefore, I designed the black containing square and green marker icons.
The main challenge was including the mushroom. That part of the logo went through a few sketch iterations until I had a eureka moment. I managed to create a mushroom that formed the letter F. After that, the Funguy VFX logo design quickly came together.
Brand Colours
I chose to use the green from a green screen for the little marker on the logo. Green is also a great colour for branding. It’s a nice neutral and clean colour. I supplied a black and white version of the logo so the client can use the logo anywhere they need to. Even on dark background colours.
Conclusion
The Funguy VFX logo project was a tonne of fun to work on. The client was very happy with the final logo and assets I created. Designing the creative and fun mushroom element brings a bit of fun to a professional company.
